Pushpa 2 has already been creating a lot of buzz among the audience even before the movie entered the production stage. There have been a lot of inquiries about the second installment after the success of Pushpa: The Rise and it looks like some crucial details have now been leaked. The film reportedly has a huge budget and would have no Bollywood stars, contrary to rumors circulating on Twitter.

For the inexperienced, Pushpa hit theaters in December of last year and became one of the biggest box office hits of the year 2021. The mpovie features Allu Arjun in the lead role and fans are clearly excited to see more of Fahadh Faasil in the next installment. Although no plot details have been shared as of yet, most reports suggest that a script has already been locked and filming will begin in June or July.

A source close to Idlebrain recently revealed a bunch of details about Pushpa 2, saying, “While the story for Pushpa: The Rule is in place, Sukumar will sit down with his writing team again to come up with the perfect script. He has recharged his batteries by taking a short trip to the US with his family some time ago, and now he really wants to go. Most of the second part will also be shot in Maredumilli Forest, East Godavari. Casting-wise, the chances of Sukumar taking on some Bollywood names are slim. The team has achieved great success in Hindi by having some familiar names from the southern industry and they want to stick with that.”

Speaking about the staggering budget for Pushpa 2, the same source said, “The unit is aiming to complete filming by January of next year and allocate at least four months for post-production activities. The post-production of the first part was rushed due to the release deadline and they don’t want to repeat the same mistake again. The scale of the second part will be one notch higher, obviously. The first part was made with a budget of Rs 194 crore, while the producers are looking to spend Rs 400 crore on the second part. At the same time, Mythri Movie Makers is interested in reserving Hindi dubbing rights this time.”
